Bastar is known for its vast beauty of nature. On the path of Chitrakote near Mardum, there is a perennial cascade, a tornado. This waterfall flows directly from the river Indravati, falling from 100 feet. With all the huge and wonderful waterfalls, the tampered windmill quietly marks its presence between the valleys. During the rainy season, the greenery and summer clouds increase the beauty. Due to the presence of peacock around this area, this waterfall is locally known as Moore Ghumar.
Shindhadhara, Tamara Ghumar and Mahendri Gimpar make the circuits more pleasant and enjoyable for the Chitrakot waterfalls.
