Best of the wildlife on earth
No. of Days: 10
Overview: Both Kenya and South Africa are lands that wildlifers dream of. The never ending savannah and the thriving wildlife that they hoard are the hooks for someone who wants to witness wildlife in its rawest form. Here, you can see the Big Five mammals in the jungles, exceptional birdlife and be in the lap of nature.
Kenya has a stunning landscape that is made up of savannah, lakes, jungles and the dramatic Great Rift Valley. It also has staggeringly beautiful mountain highlands. Lions, elephants and rhinos roam free in the many national parks, and sighting is almost 100% – in fact, you can get up close to a large extent. From the capital of Nairobi, safaris take you to the Maasai Mara Reserve, known for its annual wildebeest migrations, and Amboseli National Park, which offers views of Tanzania’s 5,895m Mt. Kilimanjaro. You can spend a few days here and then head south to the tip of the continent, to South Africa. Another wild extravaganza unfolds here.
South Africa is a multi-cultural destination with ample to explore – from adventure, wildlife to shopping hubs and excellent International cuisine. You can continue on wildlife adventures here at the Kwantu Private Game Reserve and club the 360-degree entertainment venue of Sun City. You can also embark on the Garden Route, a coastal strip that wends through Mossel Bay in the Western Cape to the Storms River. This is the adventure hub for bungee jumpers. You can return to Cape Town to see the urban life of the country and depart from here.
What to Expect: Kenya and South Africa offer a great mix for a holiday, mainly headlined by wildlife safaris and luxury jungle camps. But there is much more to it. Interaction with local tribes like the Masai, excellent International food, adventure and shopping are soon to follow. You can tweak the itinerary to suit your interests.
