Located in the picturesque Sanna area of the Jashpur district in North Eastern Chhattisgarh, Churi is a small little waterfall hidden in the dense forest known only to the locals. Its about 35 kms from Sanna and about 100 kilometers from Ambikapur which is the nearest major railway station.
Churi waterfall is located just about 4 kilometers upstream of the Gullu waterfall and is formed on the Eb river. This waterfall is further deep inside the Badalkhol Wildlife Sanctuary and is situated in a hilly terrain amongst very dense forest. You can drive upto the falls and there is a slight walk of just less than a kilometer from the parking spot. There are stairs and railing at some intervals. You can spend lot of time enjoying in the various parts of the falls. This is located deep inside the jungle and nothing is available at this spot, so please carry some water and basic eatables with you. It would be a perfect one day itinerary to cover Gullu and Churi waterfalls in the first half and then the remaining landscapes of Sanna region. You can also start in the morning from Sanna and after covering these two waterfalls move on to the most famous destination in Northern Chhattisgarh . . .Mainpat.
