Day 01 | Delhi/Mumbai – Raipur-Kawardha/Bhoramdeo
On arrival at the Raipur airport, start for Kawardha (135 kms/2 hrs) by road. On arrival check in to Hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel / Home Stay.
Day 02 | Kawardha – Bhoramdeo – Kawardha
After breakfast visit the magnificent Bhoramdeo Temple which is located among picturesque Satpura Maikal hills. This temple dates back to 11th Century AD and is famous for its breath-taking erotic carvings. Explore the other structures of Cherki Mahal and Madwa Mahal and later in the day visit a tribal haat (weekly market) or a tribal village. Return back to the hotel in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the hotel / home stay.
Day 03 | Kawardha – Achanakmar Tiger Reserve
After breakfast check out of the hotel and start for Achanakmar Tiger Reserve by road (200 kms/4 hrs). While traveling by road explore the country side and experience the local lifestyle. On arrival check in to your accommodation at Achanakmar / Amarkantak . Just relax and unwind at the resort and enjoy the tranquility. Dinner and overnight at the resort / hotel.
Day 04 | Achanakmar – Amarkantak – Achanakmar
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy a game drive inside the Achanakmar tiger reserve. Enjoy a tasteful breakfast at the resort and then proceed for a full day excursion to the holy city of Amarkantak. Picnic lunch. Return back to the resort in the evening. Overnight at the resort.
Day 05 | Achanakmar – Kanker
After an early breakfast check out of the resort and start for Kanker. Its gonna be a long day traveling from the central part of the state to the southern part. Lunch will be en route at Bilaspur or a packed picnic lunch. We will take a small de tour from the National highway after crossing Bilaspur to make a quick visit to the archaeological site of Tala which is situated on the banks of the river Maniyari. Tala is one of the oldest archaeological locations in the State of Chhattisgarh dating back to the 5th Century AD. After the quick stop start your onward journey to Kanker. On arrival check in to “The Gateway of Bastar” Kanker Palace Heritage Home Stay .The elegant and stately Kanker Palace, built in 1937 as the residence of the British Agent and at present lived in by the Royal family. On arrival, step into the Lovely Kanker Palace and your host will be Mr. Ashwini Deo from the royal family. Enjoy the time in palace, followed by dinner. Overnight at the Palace.
Day 06 | Kanker and Around
After early breakfast start to explore Kanker and its rich surroundings. The vicinity of Kanker abounds in sites of tribal life style, natural beauty and archaeological significance. Depending on your interest you can either visit a tribal village or enjoy a short trek to the pre historic rock paintings which are found in this area along with a picnic lunch. Depending on the day of the week you can also visit a local tribal market. Later, drive back to Palace and enjoy a musical camp fire with traditional tribal dance. Overnight at the Palace.
Day 07 | Kanker – Jagdalpur
After breakfast check out of the resort and start for Jagdalpur. On arrival, check in to hotel. After some rest start for the Chitrakote waterfalls. Explore the thunderous waterfall which is the only horse shoe shaped waterfall in India and is almost 60% of the Niagara falls. Later in the evening return back to hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jagdalpur.
Day 08 | Jagdalpur – Kanger Valley National Park – Jagdalpur
After an early breakfast start for the Kanger Valley National Park (40 kms / 1 hr). En route visit the Bastar Hill Myna at the Forest School at Jagdalpur. The Bastar Hill Myna is an endangered species. Arrival, Kanger Valley National Park. First explore the breathtaking Kutumsar caves which have numerous stalactite and stalagmite formations. Then visit the refreshing seven tier Teerathgarh waterfalls. Enjoy your picnic lunch at the waterfall. Start back for hotel. In the evening explore the local markets of Jagdalpur city on foot and visit the Danteshwari Devi temple at the Bastar Palace. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jagdalpur.
Day 09 | Jagdalpur – Raipur
After breakfast check out of your hotel. Visit the Anthropological Museum Of Central India in Jagdalpur city if missed earlier and start back for Raipur. En route visit the handicraft centre at Kondagaon where you can also shop for the artefacts. Then push off for Raipur, on arrival Raipur, transfer to the Airport for your onward flight. End of our services.
